What's coming next, and what we built this year.

Hello everyone, Ege here from Reeplayer. Here are some exciting features we've been building behind the scenes, plus a look back at the year.

01 · What's next

What we're building next

Some exciting features and experiences are on their way! Dates are for first versions, and each one keeps getting better after that. Over the coming weeks I'll dive into each one and share more.

Research · Ready to try

Tag your goals live, wake up to a highlight reel

A reel of every goal you tag, with the score on it, ready the next morning.

Update the scoreboard in the app while you watch. Soon you'll also be able to make your own reels by picking clips and adding comments.

It's in research, and we push new updates every couple of weeks. Try it, then tell us what you think at support@reeplayer.com.

Nov to Dec

Automatic corner selection

Marking your corners becomes one tap.

It's the setup step we get the most questions about, so we're making it automatic.

When it's live:

  1. Set up the camera like you do today.
  2. The app shows you the corners the camera found.
  3. Tap Confirm, or Reselect if something looks off.
Version 1 · Dec to Feb

Automatic event detection

The camera spots your events on its own, so you can find and download them in seconds.

We're teaching the camera to spot events as it films, and to give each one a confidence score, so you know how sure it is. I'm super pumped for this one. It will make game highlights faster and your moments easier to share.

An early look: goals, free kicks, throw-ins and corner kicks.

The player markers and the map in this clip are research too. Watch for the events.

Version 1 · Dec to Jan

A scoreboard on your livestreams

Anyone who tunes in halfway through knows the score right away.

Update the score in the app and it shows on your livestream. This is only the start: more cool scoreboard experiences are coming.

Dec to Feb

Vertical clips

Tall clips you can share to stories and reels, with no screen recording.

Yes, we know. We've been saying "vertical clips are coming" for a while now. This time it's real.

Our AI follows the action and keeps it in a tall frame, ready to share.

Personalized moments

Every time your player touches the ball, found for you.

We're teaching the camera to follow one player through a whole game and mark each time they're on the ball, so you can jump straight to their moments. I'll share more as it gets closer.

A research clip: following one player by number and name.
Research · No date yet

A real-time 2D map of the game

A top-down view of the field that shows where the play is as it happens.

It's a great way to see how the game unfolds and where every player is. A lot of you have asked for something like this.

We have an internal version working, and we want to make sure it's accurate before we release it.

A research clip: the action map tracks both teams, the keepers and the ball as the game is filmed.
03 · The recap

What we built this year

Every update below is already on your camera and in your app. Camera owners get Reeplayer Pro included, so Live Reeplay and Instant Playback are yours.

Smoother tracking

The camera moves more naturally and keeps the action framed, so the game is easier to follow on every stream and replay. More updates are coming.

Steadier livestreams

We want watching your livestream to be the best experience it can be, so we keep making it better: sharper video quality, better recovery when the connection switches between Wi-Fi and cellular, and more stability.

  • 3 new sportsBasketball, flag football and volleyball are now sports you can record with the Reeplayer AI, in beta. Switch between sports on the camera you already have. We've also pushed many updates to our basketball AI.
  • Fixed Left, Fixed Right, Static viewsKeep the camera on one half for penalties, or hold one view of the field for practice or training sessions.
  • Match HighlightsBuy them from the Highlights tab, then tap a stat to jump to that play.
  • Live ReeplayMissed the goal? Rewind the livestream and watch it right away, then jump back to live. Part of Reeplayer Pro.
  • Instant PlaybackWatch the whole game the second the final whistle blows. No waiting for the upload. Part of Reeplayer Pro.
  • Faster camera setupSetting up your camera and going live from the app is simpler and faster than before.
  • Brightness controlAdjust it before or during a game. Footage no longer flickers between bright and dark.
  • New viewing modesWide, Immersive and Standard. Pick how close you want to be to the action.
You asked, we built

Many of these came straight from your messages, calls and beta feedback.

  • TV casting keeps going when your screen sleeps
  • "Add admin" on cameras, teams and events
  • Team abbreviations, your way
  • Team jersey colors
  • Kickoff countdown
  • Turn for full screen
  • Resume where you left off
  • Private notes
04 · New · Phone streaming

Go live from your phone

You can now livestream a game from your phone. No Reeplayer Camera needed.

Today it's one fixed view, with no AI following the play, and it will keep getting better. Think of it as a sidekick to your Reeplayer Camera.

Best forSmaller fields and courts: small-sided soccer, volleyball, wrestling, pickleball, tennis.
CostGoing live and watching live are free, even in a browser with no account. Rewatching afterward is part of Reeplayer Pro.

PS. Looking for us on Instagram? Our account is down for now. Meta's automated system took it down, and we haven't been told why. We're working on getting it back, or we may open a new one soon. Until then, we'll keep you posted here and by email.
